Drumheller Dragons forward Ty Daneault is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for January 2023. The Merrimack College commit led all AJHL players with 21 points (10G, 11A) through twelve games.
Daneault (Red Deer, AB) recorded six multi-point games, his third hat trick of the season, and compiled a ten game point streak in January. Ty was awarded as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game four times through the month.
Ty Daneault (2004) represented the AJHL and Canada as a member of Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in December 2022. He was recently identified on the NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings for the upcoming 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
In his second AJHL season, Daneault leads the Dragons in scoring with 57 points, is third in the AJHL for goals with 31 and ninth overall in points.
