Lloydminster Native Michael Heffner Commits to WIT Leopards

The Lloydminster Jr. ‘A’ Bobcats Hockey Association is proud to announce that defenceman Michael Heffner has committed to the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards Men’s Hockey Program of the NCAA. Heffner will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Born and raised in Lloydminster, Heffner is a veteran of four seasons with the Bobcats, where he was an assistant captain in his final campaign while scoring 1 goal and 14 assists for 15 points and 57 penalty minutes in 57 games. His career AJHL totals include 14 goals and 57 assists for 71 points and 245 penalty minutes in 221 games. Heffner’s career with the Bobcats was highlighted by his outstanding performance during the Bobcats’ 2010/2011 playoff run, where Heffner led the Bobcats in scoring with 4 goals and 1 assist in nine games.
