LOCAL GAME SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED FOR 2025 SCOTIABANK HOCKEY DAY IN CANADA IN CANMORE

CANMORE, AB – The Canmore Local Organizing Committee today announced the local game schedule for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada on January 18th, 2025.   The 25th annual event will include three local games and a broadcast marathon of all seven Canadian NHL teams in action on Sportsnet.

The day will begin with a U18AAA Alberta Elite Hockey League (AEHL) game between the Airdrie CFR Bisons and Calgary NW Flames at 12:00pm, followed by a USports Women’s Hockey match up featuring the Mount Royal University Cougars and MacEwan University Griffins at 3:30pm. The day will conclude with an Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) regular season game as the host Canmore Eagles welcome the Drumheller Dragons to town starting at 7:30pm.

This annual event, hosted by Sportsnet’s Ron MacLean, will welcome hockey enthusiasts from across the country to join a vibrant, hockey-centric community nestled amidst the majestic Rocky Mountains. Highlights of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada 2025 in Canmore will include:

  • Kick-off Concert: To kick-off the festivities, Canmore will host a party for over 800 people featuring exciting entertainment that will draw locals and visitors.
  • Hockey Games: Enjoy games with NHL alumni, minor hockey teams and the AJHL Canmore Eagles throughout the week and during the Sportsnet broadcast.
  • Fan Fest: Participate in family-friendly activities, meet-and-greet sessions with hockey legends, and enjoy live music, food vendors, and more.
  • Sportsnet Broadcast: Sportsnet’s Ron MacLean will host Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada live from Canmore on Saturday, January 18, MacLean and Sportsnet’s analysts will be joined by special local guests, tour the community, and showcase Canmore’s energizing spirit.

Ticket sales and more information about Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada 2025 will be made available by the Canmore Local Organizing Committee in the coming months.
