Mark Logan Commits to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)

Brooks, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits are proud to announce that 1995 born Forward Mark Logan has committed to play for RIT.  Located in Rochester, NY the “Tigers” play in the Atlantic Hockey Association under Head Coach Wayne Wilson.  RIT has enjoyed success at the NCAA Tournament with a 3rd place finish in 2010.  Opening this season, RIT boasts the brand new Gene Polisseni Center, a 4300-seat arena on campus.

Mark is from Calgary, AB and grew up playing minor hockey for Crowchild before moving to the AAA level with the NWCAA.  Mark played 4 seasons with the NWCAA before joining the Bandits in 2012.  As a rookie, he was a part of the National Championship Bandits that hold records for Most Wins and Most Points in AJHL History.  Mark has developed into a fan favorite in Brooks with his physical, power forward style of game.  Mark is also recognized in the community for all of his work off the ice.

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou, “Mark has been a great person to have on our hockey team.  He has a tireless work ethic and is the ultimate teammate every day.  His transformation as a player over the last 3 years has been exciting for us to watch as coaches.  He is being rewarded on the score sheet this season and is very deserving of this opportunity with RIT.  We will be sad to see him go but will be looking forward to following his NCAA career.”
