Nowakowski Commits to the University of Alaska Anchorage

The Brooks Bandits are proud to announce 20 year old Forward Dylan Nowakowski has committed to play at the University of Alaska Anchorage beginning in the fall of 2012. The Seawolves play in the WCHA and currently roster former Brooks Bandits Rob Gunderson and Jade Portwood.

Dylan is from Calgary, AB where he grew up playing minor hockey for the Shaw Meadows Hockey Association. He then played his Midget for the Calgary Buffalo Hockey Association prior to leaving the province for the BCHL. Dylan was acquired by the Bandits from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on January 8th, 2012 and has made a major contribution to the team. He scored 6 goals and added 16 assists in just 15 games as a Bandit.

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou, “In looking for a player to bolster our lineup Dylan is exactly what we were hoping to find. He is a competitor and gives you everything he has on a consistent basis. Since his acquisition we have 15 wins and 1 loss and he has been instrumental in those games. I am happy to say that Dylan will finish his Junior career with the Brooks Bandits as he embodies all the qualities we try to have. “

The Brooks Bandits Organization would like to congratulate Dylan and the Nowakowski Family on his accomplishments; we wish him the best of luck in his future athletic and academic endeavor.

Dylan is the fourth Bandit committed to the NCAA along with;
