Raymond’s RBC Experience

Memories of the 2005 RBC Cup

“That was probably the most fun I’ve had playing hockey. It was my last year of junior and we had an outstanding team. We played very well and going to the RBC Cup, that was something that was pretty special. I remember thinking, ‘wow, this game’s on TSN,’ and it’s funny now looking back because a lot of games are on TSN.

“The RBC Cup is a pretty prestigious tournament for Junior A guys, it’s a huge tournament and was a huge stepping stone for myself. I think I was really recognized there as a player and it helped me move forward in hockey.”

Memories of Camrose

“I learned a lot not only on the ice, but off the ice, like how to live on my own; that was my first time being away from home. The biggest thing was playing more of a pro-like schedule and bringing it every day. It was the demand of what it can become and what it takes to be a player.”
