Saints Goalie More Comfortable on the Ice than in the Stands

It’s hard to tell whether the goalie or the team was more relieved when Kenny Cameron was able to play the last two games of the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s North Division semifinal series.

Rookie Tanner McCorriston won two key contests on the road after the Saints fell behind 2-0 in the best-of-seven series, making a handful of late game-saving stops to preserve victories over the Sherwood Park Crusaders.

But there was no doubt Cameron was going to be Spruce Grove’s guy once his high-ankle sprain healed enough. The 21-year-old from Calgary has played 44 games each of the last two regular seasons and manned the pipes during last year’s playoff run to the league final.
