The Okotoks Oilers Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is proud to announce that 19-year old forward Tanner Laderoute has committed to the NCAA Division I, University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves, members of WCHA (Western Collegiate Hockey Association) for the 2017-18 season.
Laderoute is from Edmonton, Alberta where he played his minor hockey, and had a brief stay with the Sherwood Park Crusaders before joining the Okotoks Oilers in the 2015-16 season. Tanner has played a total of 166 AJHL games, scoring 40 goals and 70 assists for a total of 110 points. Okotoks Oilers Head Coach / Director of Hockey Development Tyler Deis stated, “Tanner has been one of the most consistent all-around player since joining our team, as evidence by his two time selection as the Okotoks Oilers Hardest Working Player of the Year.”
The Okotoks Oilers Organization would like to wish both Tanner and his family the best in his future academic and athletic endeavors.
Tanner Laderoute joins teammates Jacob Bernard-Docker and Jordan Xavier as recipients of NCAA Division I scholarships already this season.
