Wednesday would have been Matt Cook’s 23rd birthday.
It would have been, if not for the cancer that first took his left leg in 2006, then spread to his left lung, and, finally, took the Edmonton native’s life on April 4, 2010.
The city of Edmonton and the entire hockey world lost an incredible young man that day.
