With a Scorching Scoring Streak, Collins Leads Oilers into Playoffs

Chris Collins has picked a fantastic time to display some of the best hockey of his career.

Fresh off his second Alberta Junior Hockey League player of the week award this MONTH, the 20-year-old Okotoks Oilers forward was named to the South Division All-League team on Tuesday. Teammate Jared D’Amico, who mans the pipes in Okotoks, also earned the honour, while forward John Edwardh made the South Division All-Rookie team.

“In 2013, he’s just taking his game to another level,” explained Oilers head coach/GM James Poole of Collins.

“As far as I’m concerned, he’s been the best player in the AJHL in 2013.”
