The barefoot and sock-wearing dwellers of the cavernous offices at the Wolverines’ Centre of Excellence no doubt had every reason to be anxious.
After a rather tumultuous end of their previous season, both on the ice and off, Joey Bouchard and his coaching staff likely were fighting the butterflies as their newly re-tooled team kicked off their third season last Friday.
As it turned out, they needn’t have worried.
