Bandits to raise money for local Legion with Remembrance Day Jerseys

The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are happy to announce that they will sport special Remembrance Day jerseys when they host the Olds Grizzlys on Monday, November 11th, in a special Charity Jersey Game.

The jerseys will be auctioned off on the arena concourse throughout the game, with all profits from the jersey auction being donated to the local Royal Canadian Legion No. 63, who will be partnering with the Bandits in presenting the game.

The Bandits have traditionally hosted one Charity Jersey game each season, raising money for a worthy cause, and this will be the first time that the Legion will be the beneficiary.
The Legion operates the local Poppy Campaign in the lead-up to Remembrance Day, which raises money to support veterans, including Canadian Forces and RCMP, and their families, and helps to ensure that Canadians ?never forget.?

The jerseys were designed by Matt McElroy of Number 9 Concepts, who has designed the majority of the Bandits? extremely successful special jerseys. He currently works as a Graphic Designer with the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League.

The game is scheduled for a 4 PM puck drop on Monday the 11th, with a pre game ceremony honoring local veterans to precede the game between the Bandits and Grizzlys. Tickets are available online at tickets.brooksbandits.ca.
