Okotoks Oilers defenceman, Carson Beers, is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the first week of February 2015. The 17 year old rookie scored 7 points in 3 games last week and extended his point streak to four games.
Carson Beers (Taber, AB) was also the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game on February 3rd when the Oilers defeated the Olds Grizzlys 4-3 in OT. Beers assisted on the game winning goal and recorded 4 points in the game.
The Okotoks Oilers have accumulated a 5 game winning streak and hold third spot in the Viterra AJHL South Division Standings with 8 regular season games remaining. The Oilers have secured a berth in the 2015 Gas Drive AJHL Playoffs.
