The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week is Tanner Laderoute of the Okotoks Oilers. Laderoute scored 1 goal and 4 assists in two games last week and leads the Oilers in scoring with 20 points (9G, 11A).
Tanner Laderoute (Edmonton, AB) was awarded the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award after scoring a goal, and recording assists on both the game tying goal and game winning goal on November 19th in a 5-4 victory over the Grande Prairie Storm. The 19 year-old forward is in his third AJHL season, second with the Oilers.
The Okotoks Oilers are third overall in the Viterra AJHL South Division with a record of 13-7-3. The Oilers are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games.
The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Bonnyville Pontiacs rookie defenceman Jake Gresh. In three games played, Gresh scored 1 goal and 3 assists and leads all AJHL defencemen in scoring 7 goals, 19 assists and 26 points.
Jake Gresh, 18, scored the game winner in a 7-2 win over the Spruce Grove Saints on November 15th. He also recorded an assist on the game winning goal in a 4-2 win over the Calgary Canucks on November 18th.
The Bonnyville Pontiacs are tied for second place in the Viterra AJHL North Division Standings with a record of 18-6-3 and are 5-2-3 in the last 10 games.
