CJHLers On Updated Central Scouting Watch List Grows

CALGARY, Alta. – The updated National Hockey League Central Scouting players to watch list for November has seen an increase among the those from the Canadian Junior Hockey League that were tabbed in the initial preliminary listings.

A total of 19 players from within the CJHL were among those on the complete November list which marks an increase of five from the 14 on the first rankings.

A trio of CJHL defencemen garnered “B” ratings as a potential second or third round draft choice for the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago.

Alberta Junior Hockey League blueliners Cale Makar (Brooks Bandits) and Ian Mitchell (Spruce Grove Saints) were joined by Central Canada Hockey League rearguard Cameron Crotty (Brockville Braves) among the group in the “B” category. The other 16 CJHL players on the NHLCS November Watch List all garnered a “C” rating, which has them as potential fourth through sixth round draft selections.
