Four AJHL Players were included in the NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings released today in advance of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The list includes Peter Quenneville (Sherwood Park Crusaders), Rhett Holland (Okotoks Oilers), Matt Benning (Spruce Grove Saints) and goaltender Matt Tomkins (Sherwood Park Crusaders).
The players were ranked as follows amongst North American Skaters:
- Peter Quenneville – 159th
- Rhett Holland – 167th
- Matt Benning – 176th
- Matt Tomkins – 10th amongst North American Goalies
In total, 18 players from the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) were named in today’s rankings. The list included 15 skaters and 3 goaltenders.
- AJHL – 3 skaters, 1 goaltender
- BCHL – 6 skaters, 1 goaltender
- CCHL – 3 players
- OJHL – 3 players, 1 goaltender

The 2012 Scotiabank NHL ® Draft Lottery, a weighted system to determine the order of selection for the first 14 picks of the 2012 NHL Draft, will take place Tuesday, April 10, at 8 p.m., ET. The 2012 Scotiabank NHL ® Draft Lottery involves clubs that do not qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, or the clubs that have acquired the first-round drafting positions of those non-playoff clubs.
The 2012 NHL Draft will take place at CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh. The first round will take place on Friday, June 22 commencing at 7 p.m. ET and the subsequent rounds (two through seven) will begin at 10 a.m. ET Saturday, June 23.
