Grizzlys Seek Business Operations Manager

The Olds Grizzlys Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Business Operations Manager.  This position is full time with an approximate starting date of February 25, 2013

The Business Operations Manager will work with, and be responsible to, the board of directors while managing the business operations of the Olds Grizzlys.  Responsibilities include: management of the overall budget and cash flow, and responsibility for all revenue generation including marketing sales and fund raising events.  Further duties include coordination of game day activities, management of volunteers, and community relations, and management of the business office.  In addition, you will work in conjunction with the coaching staff to manage events such as hockey tournaments, hockey schools, and tryout camps.

Qualifications should include:
• Budget and management/administrative skills
• Marketing and fund raising skills
• Experience in the administration of sports teams or related employment
• Demonstrated organizational, communication and computer skills
• The individual should be community minded who meets well with the public
• Hockey experience is an asset but not essential

The Olds Grizzlys Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is a member of the 16 team Alberta Junior Hockey League and were the 1994 Canadian Junior ‘A’ National Champions.  The Grizzlys have a long history of successful operation as a community owned non-profit society.
