The Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove is loud. The sound of bodies slamming into the boards at high speeds vibrates your insides. The ear-splitting ring of a puck hitting Plexiglas triggers a duck-and-cover reflex.

“Let’s go, Saints, let’s go!” a bundled-up Marlene Spidla yells from her ice-level seat behind the net of her favourite team, the Spruce Grove Saints.
