Hockey fans in Camrose want Canada to win gold at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship. That’s a given.
This year, they’re also placing silver medal hopes on the Americans visiting their town.
“I’m sure there are people in the community who are torn between their allegiances,” Camrose Mayor Marshall Chalmers said Saturday, a day after the U.S.A. hockey players arrived in town to prepare for Dec. 26 to Jan. 5 event.
“I have to root for Canada, but we’ll be great hosts for the U.S. team,” said Chalmers.
