Thunder Captain Voss Commits to University of Victoria

The University of Victoria Vikes Hockey Club announced yesterday that Branden Voss has committed to the Vikes for 2018-19 season.

Voss, a native of Camrose Alberta, has played a total of 112 games in the AJHL over the past three seasons with the Drumheller Dragons, Camrose
Kodiaks and last season as the captain of the Drayton Valley Thunder.

Brandon was an important part of our team, bringing maturity and leadership on and off the ice.  He raised the benchmark within our team for hard work and integrity, that has become part of our culture here in Drayton Valley.

Branden is grateful for the opportunity to pursue a career in Engineering, while still playing hockey at a high level. “I am very thankful for the opportunity
at the University of Victoria and I’m excited to face the new challenges ahead of me as I begin the next chapter of my life.”

Vikes Coach Schamhart said, “I am very excited to add Branden to our program. Branden’s work ethic, experience and leadership will be a big plus for us as we work towards the goal of winning another BCIHL Championship.”
