With 19 points as a rookie – including three assists in his collegiate debut, a 5-3 win over Upper Peninsula rival Northern Michigan – Seigo finished second offensively among freshman defensemen in the WCHA. He shared the Huskies’ team award for outstanding rookie with goaltender Kevin Genoe.
