Trio of Pontiacs Commit to NAIT

The Bonnyville Pontiacs are pleased to announce that 20 year old forward Kevin Carthy of Edmonton, Alberta, 20 year old defenseman Jordon Krankowsky of Elk Point, Alberta, and 20 year old forward Dante Borrelli of Edmonton, Alberta have committed to play for the NAIT Oooks.

Carthy spent 3 seasons with the Bonnyville Pontiacs and is now returning home to continue his hockey and academics. The Pontiacs 2011-2012 co-captain established himself as one of the hardest working players in the AJHL. Kevin’s contributions to the hockey club stretched much farther than just goals and assists but certainly contributed offensively in his last two years. Carthy played in 169 career games posting 29 goals, 38 assists for 67 points and amassed 274 penalty minutes.

Krankowsky spent 4 seasons with the Bonnyville Pontiacs and is now heading to Edmonton to continue his hockey and academics. The Pontiacs assistant captain from the past two years had Nait as a goal from the beginning of the season finding the fit not only athletically but also academically. Jordon was very steady over his four years amassing 220 games played putting up 15 goals, 56 assists for 71 points and 241 penalty minutes.

Borrelli spent 3 seasons with the Bonnyville Pontiacs and is now returning home to continue his hockey and academics. The Pontiacs 2011-2012 co-captain had his 19 year old and 20 year old seasons cut short due to injuries. Dante only got into 14 regular season games in final season but still managed to be an integral part of the leadership core. Borrelli posted 26 goals, 21 assists for 47 points in 104 career games with the Pontiacs.

The NAIT Ooks play in the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference.

The Pontiacs would like to congratulate Kevin, Jordon and Dante and their families and wish them all the best in the future.
